god bless the clean lines and tech­ni­colour world of final fantasy. and how about the trailer being set to leona lewis? granted, not really a fan of her, but it just works with this trailer. i hope you are reduced to a puddle of tears not seen since the kiss scene from the note­book after watching this HIGHLY ELECTRIC AND EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER OF A TRAILER.

i love everything final fantasy, and japanese con­sole RPGs in gen­eral. i’m sick of the nerd­fest that con­sumes western RPGs, with all the dun­geons and dragons and lord of the rings motifs. instead, the nerd­fest of unapo­lo­getic, upbeat but asskicking lol­icons, insane hair designs, even more ridicu­lous weaponry, and a story that is so con­vo­luted and rehashed that you know what’s about to happen but you don’t care because it’s fucking final fantasy. also, the lead female char­acter in every final fantasy game is always such a damn hottie. which just rein­forces the fact that in the hier­archy of womandom, video game girls are the hot­test, fol­lowed by car­toon girls, and real life girls a dis­tant and sad third place (hell, they prob­ably haven’t even crossed the finish line yet).

con­sid­ering the voice-​acting quality of the game, and the fact that it’s a final fantasy title, it will prob­ably break records, and they really need to start porting these games over to the pc. i’m sure there are a lot of animé-​geeks out there who want to sink their teeth into col­ourful animé-​inspired RPGs (such as myself) and not the dark-​and-​dreary-​i-​just-​cast-​level-​10-​something-​or-​other on you that com­panies like bliz­zard and bioware come out with.
